I want to hear more about your conversations about spiritual warfare and fulfilling of prophecies... interesting perspectives to be had, I'm sure. I'm glad you enjoyed the filming and so much and that you're done (just in time for me to be the superbusy one, ha!) and glad for continual new beginnings.

I was thinking yesterday about how we pretty much satisfy ourselves whenever we want or need anything... we eat food when we're hungry, drink when we're thirsty, sleep when we're tired, go places when we want to go there... and hey, with our iphones and ipod touches we can contact anyone or look up anything whenever we want... and all this satisfaction makes us think we're entitled to having lots of the things we have... but we're really not. (I think that's why fasting can be a good reminder that we're not entitled to food whenever we want it... and, by extension, other things too) I hope and pray that we can learn to remember that better, in both thought and action.

Thank you for making a difference and raising awareness. The Invisible Children are so amazing and I hope this will help raise enough awareness so that we can save these children in Africa.

I suspect that there are ways to teach about the destructiveness of drugs without the potentially dangerous attachment of sexual images. However I totally agree with your larger point - we have gone from a world in biblical times where parents were honored and the source of much life wisdom to a world where parents are taking every opportunity to back out and let others raise their kids. Public schools teach them knowledge, media and friends teach them social skills and about culture and relationships... especially when many parents don't even show love to each other, much less hold enough respect to teach their kids about it. Parents need to take responsibility for training their children so they can give them increasing independence as the children grow and earn their trust.

Yes, I agree Jesus died so that we wouldn't have to live in fear of Death. So no Christian should be afraid of Death; it's the dying that scares us.

This weekend I'd been listening to "Handlebars" by Flobots and thinking about pride and power and its path to self-destruction... fits in rather well with this.

I wonder if Jesus feared death itself so much as the pain of the dying part. Either way, he won.

Yay for the shirts. I'm glad you're getting happy feelings at this point in the semester... this is the point in the semester where I start trying not to get stressed out about my class load plus learning my accompaniment pieces. But I've made it thought the first five semesters, right?

p.s. my newly consolidated and improved blog is very nearly ready for unveiling!

Hey that verse sounds a lot like Psalm 1... I admire you for remembering your foundation in the "day of disaster" instead of letting it keep you down :)

...and you've almost convinced me to figure out how to port over some of my old stuff to WordPress and give yet another whack at the blog thing.. I've been reading Job since Sunday and having thoughts that I want to take some time to sort out and share...
